VINES WINS THE SINGLES (.Received. November 20, 5.5 p.m.) ! SYDNEY. Nov. 20 Tlie New South Wales tennis championships were continued at Sydney yesterday. In the final of the men's singles Vines (United States) beat Allison (United States), 4—6, 6—l, 6—4, 7—5. In the women's singles Mrs. Crawford (New South Wales) beat Miss Hartigan, 4—6, 6-4, 6—4. In the women's doubles Misses Bickerton and Hartigan beat Misses Dingle and iValkenburg, 7—5, 2—6, 7—5. In the men's doubles Allison and Van Ryn beat Vines and Gledhill, 7—5, 10 —8, 5-4. The mixed doubles werq postponed till Monday. C. Sproule has been selected to replace Crawford in the first test match at Brisbane.
