WEEK-END WEATHER
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH
Auckland.-—The weather continued fin* during the week-end, but a boisterous south-west wind and a cloudy, threatening sky were experienced on Saturday afternoon. Yesterday the wind moderated to a light breeze and ideal summer conditions prevailed. After falling to 29.95 in. early yesterday' morning the barometer rose during the day and the reading last night was 30.10 in.
Wellington.—A strong north-west blew all day on Saturday. In the noon light rain fell at intervals. Condition! M were greatly improved yesterday, there g being a bright,jivarm sun throughout. Th#.v&wind was from the north. Jgfg Christ church. —Saturday was fine a " 111 warm, but was marred by a squally nortn*||| west wind. Yesterday was fine, but strong Horth-easter was blowing. ,M§ Dunedin.—The weather was cloudy anC \ fine on Saturday, but a few light sh°wers,||j fell in the late afternoon and in the even- , ing. The wind was fresh from the n0 • • east, later changing to the south-east. barometer fell several points. Y este was beautifully fine. The barometer rising last evening, the reading 29.80 in.
