AUCKLAND LADIES' CLUB SOUND FINANCIAL POSITION A satisfactory financial position was revealed in the report presented at the annual meeting of the Auckland Ladies' Rowing Club. Tho report stated that approximately J?46 was received for the year, which sum had been applied to the completion of instalments oo boats, and payment of rent, and alterations to the boat shed. The club was now comfortably housed in tho Devon port Yacht Club's building at Devonport, the plant consisting of two Clinker fours, being free of debt. During the year two races were held and small trophies presented. It was recognised that lacing could bo too strenuous for girls and members were satisfied to row merely fou the enjoyment of tho sport. Various members attended regattas at Hamilton and Mercer. as well as those held 011 tho Waitemata, and proved themselves of assistance to other clubs, a letter of thinks being received from the Auckland Rowing Association. Appreciation was recorded and a vote of tlianks passed to everyone who had rendered assistance to the club. The following officers were elected:— Patron, Mrs. C. A. Court: president. Mrs. K. F. Brant; vice-presidents, 18 were elected: honorary secretary. Miss E. Waters: honorary treasurer. Miss P. Drew: honorary auditor, Mr. M. C. O'Neill; honorary solicitor, Mr. B.
