Tho engagement is announced between Gladys May (Pat) Baird, youngest daughter of Mrs. M. Baird, of Kaikohe, Bay of islands, and Alexander John, youngest son of tho late Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Blair, late of Queensland, Australia*
