AIR TRIPS TO SEASIDE
NEW VENTURE IN BRITAIN A London motor-coach proprietor, controlling one of the biggest road service systems iti Britain, is to buy six tenseater aeroplanes to carry holidaymakers to seaside resorts at first-class railway fares. The man behind this important development in civil aviation has worked up a huge holiday transport business from a small beginning. He says ho is convinced that the same success can be achieved with internal air traffic. He has already secured an aerodrome near London and plans to run regular daily services, principally to south-western resorts, and air " specials " to points further afield. One feature will probably be day trips to the Riviera.
" I consider that at least five per cent of the people who use my coaches will pay the equivalent of first-class rail fares to reach their destination in a much shorter time," the promoter says. "Less"than five per cent will ensure the success of the air services."
