Of the Bulls offering this year 2 are from dams with a GiJ.\ test between 700 and fciOolb. fat; 8 have dams between (iOO and 7001b. fat; 11 have dams between 500 and GOulb. fat; 31 havo dams between 400 and 5001b. fat; and 24 have dams between 300 and 4001b. fat; while every Bull catalogued is well backed by BUT-TER-FAT ANCESTORS, The Advanced Register of Merit, for 1930 published by the N.Z. Jersey Cattle Breeders' Association shows that for 1929 20 1-3 per cent, of all production medals were won by Franklin Breeders, or over a-quaiter of the medals allotted for 1929 nil over New Zealand were won by cows toated in Franklin. In the same year four Gold Medals were awarded all over New Zealand for cows that produced over 7501b. fat, and two of these medals were won by Franklin cows. Li 1931 members of the Franklin Jersey Club tested 38 cows of all ages, and they averaged 4841b. per cow. The Dominion average for Jerseys is 4511b. fat. In the same year a Franklin cow as a Junior Two-year-old, was class leader and Gold Medallist with a C.O_.R. of 742.711b. fat. For the 305 days test 97 Jer.;ev cows all over New Zealand have been tested averaging 421.121b. tat. Out of these 97 cows, 10 belonged to Franklin breeders with an average of 4GI G lb. fat.
