ROAD TO RECOVERY

BRITAIN AND AMERICA CLIMBING UPWARD SLOPE CENTRAL EUROPE LAGGING By Telegraph;— Press (Received September 1. 6.5 p.ra.) BERLIN, Aug. 31 That, both Britain and the United States are beginning to climb the upward slope of the normal business cycle, is the opinion of the official German Bureau of Business Research. "Former experience teaches us that evolulion toward prosperity always begins with the stimulation of credit and Stock Exchange activities," says the bureau in its report, "while industry and the labour market at first are not influenced." However, the report discerns no signs of recovery in Germany or Austria-Hun-gary, owing to the consumption of favourable trade balances to repay debts.
