The secretaiy of the Dunedin Waterside Workers' Union declined to make a statement. He said, however, thafc there was a clause in the award referring to men working phosphate cargoes In strong winds dust from 'phosphate was blown about and the work was a disagreeable undertaking. The fact that » squally west wind was blowing to-day was one /of the reasons why the men ceased work on the Fiscus. The Fiscus discharged part of her fargo at Lyttelton about two weeks ago.
