t ; *'■ ■ STRUCK IN EYE BY ROD [by TELEGRAPH —OWN correspondent] TAIEAPE. Thursday A sawmill hand, Mr. Albert Pritchard, employed in Mr. W. C. Gregory's sawmill at Mokai, near Taihape, suffered injury to his eye as a result of an accident at the mill this morning. He dropped a piece of wood on to the end of an iron rod, causing it to fly up and strike him in the eye. He received a nasty cut on the side of the eye and the eyeball itself was scratched. The sight is not impaired.
