VICTORY FOR WALKER " BULL " MONTANA OUTMATCHED TWO FALLS TO ONE SECURED [ill' TELEGRAM —OWN CORRESPONDENT] HAMILTON, Thursday A professional wrestling match between George Walker and " Bull" Montana, staged by the Waikato Wrestling Association in Hamilton this evening, resulted in a win for the former by two falls to one early in the fifth round. The match was marked by little serious mat work, only a few holds cf any consequence being secured by both men during the five rounds. Montana, who appeared to be greatly outmatched, earned some disfavour for his by-play. A section of the crowd voiced its dissatisfaction at the end of the bout. Walker's weight was announced at 13st. 101b. and Montana s as 13st. lib. Mr. A. Newton, of Hamilton, was referee. The two opening rounds were uneventful, Walker making full use of the new rule of permitting advantage to be taken of the ropes. Montana freed himself from a short-arm scissors by biting Walker. At the commencement of the third round Montana trapped Walker in a Boston crab, to which the latter soon submitted. The fourth round was more lively. Walker secured his first fall when Montana submitted to a reverse double toehold. Walker did not mince matters in tlio opening of the next round, throwing his opponent heavily with a series of headlocks and finally dumping him to secure the deciding fall with a body press. The four amateur bouts resulted: — F. Haines, Hamilton, 9st., defeated N. Whytc, Pirongia, 9st. 101b., by one fall. E. Foulds, Ngaruawahia, 9st. 10lb., defeated T. Staines, Hamilton, 9st., by one fall. H. Woolston, Hamilton, lOst. 61b., defeated R. Sorenson, Hamilton, lOst. 31b., by two falls. L. V. Bullford, Pirongia, lOst. 41b., defeated <T. Alker. Hamilton, lOst. 61b., by two falls.
