POWER RETICULATION

WAIHI BEACH TOWNSHIP CONFERENCE BETWEEN BOARDS [by TELEGRAPH OWN correspondent] WAIHI, Thursday There now appears to be some prospect of the Waihi Beach township being reticulated with electric power before the rush of the summer season sets in during the Christmas and New Year holidays. Representatives of the Thames Valley and the Tauranga Power Boards have inspected the area this week, and in a few days will hold a conference to decide which body shall install electricity. Mr. T. McLennan, district electrical engineer,of the Public Works Department, Hamilton, will act as arbitrator if the boards fail to reach a decision. The Waihi Borough Council will be represented at the conference by the Mayor, the town clerk and the borough engineer.
