CHRISTIAN WITNESS

CAMPAIGN AT AVONDALE The most successful services for many years have been held at Avondale during the week in connection with the Campaign of Christian witness. All the churches havo co-operated and last Sunday there was an inter-chango of pulpits. On Tuesday a combined meeting for men was hold, Ihe preacher being the Rev, J. 11. Combes. A combined meeting for women, addressed by Miss Grace Baker, was held on Wednesday afternoon, and in the evening a large congregation heard tho Rev. >T. J. North. Tho Revs. A. V. Grace, J. 11. Combes and H, Knowles Kompton, and Captain Andrew, of the Salvation Army, also took part. Tho series of meetings will close with an after-church rally in tho Avondalo Town llall on Sunday evening.
