PROPOSAL TO FORM BOARD. \ decision to hold a poll at an early date on the question of forming a fire board for the Mount Albert district was made at a meeting of the Mount Albert Borough Council last evening. A letter was received from the Auckland Fire Board, which stated that, after inspecting the district, the board was not prepared to undertake fire protec ion in fi Kr»rniicrh It suegcsted that the best means oi giving adequate fire protection in Auckland city and adjacent areas was bv the establishment of a Metropolitan F The ß °town clerk, Mr. T.
