OLD RIVER BOAT.

DISCOVERY AT HAMILTON. UNCOVERED IN WAIKATO RIVER. [from our own correspondent.] HAMILTON, Tuesday. An unkr.own vessel, apparently a small steam-boat, his been uncovered in the bed of the. Waikato River at Hamilton as a result of the fall in the level of the water during the past few days, caused by operations at Arapuni. Tho discoverev was made by a party of bathers at the foot of Mill Street, the relis being found buried deep in mud and sand with the hull partly eaten awaj with rust. Part of the iron boiv was in sight and the finders have since removed some of the mud covering the remaining length. No evidence- has been brought to light of the identity of the boat, which bearj signs of having been under wuter for many years, but it is thought it migbf have been in use during the Maori War.
