BRITISH TARIFF.

DOMINIONS' PRODUCTS. ORIGIN CERTIFICATES NEEDED. LONDON, March 8. Australian and other Dominion imports aro subjected to unexpected difficulties in tho absence of certificates of origin. This renders litem liable to tho 10 per cent, tariff. Several importers have requested help from Australia House, as tho Customs is insisting on evidenco of origin apart from bills of lading. Tho Australia House staff has greatly smoothed the difficulties. Customs officials are now reasonably interpreting the regulations, but it is emphasised that this leniency is temporary. It is essential that future cargoes should be accompanied by certificates which can be obtained from Trade Commissioners in Australia.
