| INVITATIONS FROM COUNTRY. EASTER HOLIDAY FIXTURES. PLAYING HOURS SHORTENED. Three invitations to visit country districts were received at the meeting of the management committee of the Auckland Cricket Association last evening. Those of the Thames and Paeroa Associations to send teams at J'laster were declined owing to the impossibility of obtaining players. The invitation from Poverty Bay was for a match with tho Auckland representative eleven whilo it was touring next season. This request will bo rovicwed next season. Tho fixtures set dowji for Eden Park on Easter Saturday and Monday aro:—No. 1 ground, Auckland v. Mid-week Association; No. 2. Auckland junior representatives v. Akarana colts. HIGH SCHOOLS' MATCHES. [by teeegrahi.—press association.] DUNE DIN, Tuesday. Tho annual cricket matches between the Otago and Southland Boys High Schools were concluded to-day. The senior match resulted in a draw. The Otago team scored 239 runs in the first, innings and lost five wickets for 117 in the second. Southland's first innings realised 182. The junior match was won by the Otago team, who scored 135 runs in the first innings and 11 for two wickets in the second. Southland's scores were 78 and G5.
