TWO YEARS' PROBATION. CASE OF THEFT AT OPOTIKI Probation for a term of two years was ordered in the case of Vincent Wallace, farm hand, aged 22. who appeared in the Police Court yesterday for sentence on a, charge of stealing articles to the value of £SO, the property of G. F. Joblin, at Woodlands, Opotiki, on February 27. The probation officer, Mr. W. I. Campbell, considered that Wallace was worthy of another chance, counsel for accused stating that Wallace's conduct bad been good since he served a term of probation bi.v years previously.
