BANKRUPT'S AFFAIRS.
QUESTION OF DISCHARGE. An adjourned meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of Joshua Carder, boot manufacturer, of Epsom, was presided over by the oflicial assignee, Mr. .A. W. Walters, yesterday. At, the first meeting in September a committee of creditors was formed to assist the assignee to investigate bankrupt's affairs. Bankrupt's statement showed debts to unsecured creditors totalling £1525 and assets amounting to £4097, leaving a nominal surplus o'f £2572.
Mr. Waiters said it had been announced that bankrupt intended to apply for his discharge, and he asked for an expression of opinion from the creditors. One creditor moved that any application for discharge should be opposed. After further discussion no motion was passed.
