PRESENTATIONS.

After being stationmaster at Huntly for nearly 5 years, Mr. L. A. Voltz retired on superannuation on Saturday. Ha has had 35 years' service in the railway. Mr. Voltz was met by the local railway staff and presented with a silver entree dish. Eulogistic speeches were made by Messrs. R. Trowland, A. 11. Thorne, R- \ P. Whitton and Tahrum, keen regret being expressed at losing such a capable officer. Mr. and Mrs. Voltz will continue

to reside in Huntly. A farewell to Mr. W. S. Thompson, stationmaster at Helensville for four years, who has been transferred to Otahuhu, was given at Helensville on Saturday evening. A presentation was made of a bowler's bag to Mr. Thompson and of » tea waggon to Mrs. Thompson. A welcome was extended to Mr. Stratford, who takes over the duties of stationmaster this week.
