BLOOD POISONING CASE. When Mr. and Mrs. N. May, of Blampied, Victoria, were awakened by the cries of their baby, aged, two months, at about one o'clock on a recent morning, they found a large rat in the child's cot, which was standing nt (ho parents' bedside. The child had been bitten on the hand and undtsr the chin. The wounds wore inflamed and the child was suffering from blood poisoning.
