THROWN TO ROADWAY.

OCCUPANTS OF LORRY. ONE SERIOUSLY INJURED. [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE KUITI, Saturday. The occupants of a motor-lorry were thrown heavily to the roadway when the vehicle struck some heaped earthwork at a bend on the Te Jvuiti-Hangatiki Road last night. The lorry was driven by Mr. F. R. Stokes, employed at the Hangatiki lime works.

Serious head injuries were received by Mr. Gray, who was removed to the Te Kuiti Hospital in an unconscious condition. Mrs. Gray received an injury to the shoulder and Mr. Saussey wounds on the face and head. The other occupants of the truck suffered from shock and minor bruises.
