LINDBERGH BABY.

STIR IN AMERICA. PROGRESS OF THE SEARCH. (Received March 13. 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, March 12. The kidnapped infant son of Colonel and Mfs. Charles Lindbergh has not yet been recovered. A man named Morris Rosner, employed by tho father, is reported to have said that he had definite knowledge that tho child is alive and safe and will he returned. A man whom the police think may know something of tho kidnapping was visited in the Tombs prison by Rosner and then taken to the Lindbergh home at Hopewell, New Jersey. Rosner, a mysterious new figure in the case, i$ descibed as a ' former Government agent with widespread contacts with the underworld.

Henry (R.pcJ) .Johnson, the friend of the Lindbergh's nurse, Betty Gow, is said to have been cleared of suspicion in connection with the kidnapping.

A messago from Detroit states (.hat Isiah Leebove, attorney for Salvatore Spitalo and Irving Bitz, underworld characters, whose help Colonel Lindbergh recently enlisted, has informed the press that the missing baby is safe, but that the ransom demanded is more than £IO,OOO.

TlkvNcw York Evening Sun stales that two classified advertisements in a morning newspaper indicate that the Lindberghs arc in touch with the kidnappers through that medium and are arranging the of the ransom and the .return of the child.

The New Jersey police are preparing a circular for despatch to the police departments ill all countries asking for information of the whereabouts of the missing baby.
