PECK SHIELD EVENT. WELLINGTON HARBOUR RACE. [BT TELEGRAPH. PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Saturday. The annual harbour ewim for the Peck Shield was held at Wellington this afternoon. The course measured 1 mile 10P0 yards. Fifteen started on tho last lap from Clyde Quay Wharf to Taranaki Street. Wharf, but only 10 finished out of the -11 original starters. L. Peterson, Maranni. finished first, reaching the Taranaki Street Wharf at 4.20 p.m. His time was 57m. The, fastest time went to F. Ryan, Lyall Bay. who covered tho distance in 50m. Lyall Bay was the only club in which four members finished, and won the shield. PUKEKOHE HIGH SCHOOL. CHAMPIONSHIP WINNERS. [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PUKEKOHE', Saturday.
