SECOND ROUND CONTINUED. INTERESTING CHAMPIONSHIP. THREE TEAMS EQUAL IN LEAD. The Auckland City and Suburban Cricket Association concluded tho second series of matches in the second round of its senior grade competition at Victoria Park 011 Saturday. Conditions were good, and the howlers generally showed an ascendancy. The six-point wine gained by both Harbour Board and Green Lane altered considerably the positions of teams in the championship. Mount Albert Grammar Old Boys held a lead of two points, but now the three teams are equal for first place. Mount Albert, which compiled 305 the previous week, was given a good game by Ponsonby, although the former won 011 the first innings. Ponsonby occupied tho wicket all the afternoon in scoring 208. A. Lewie, 50. batted nicely for Ponsonby. Harbour Board secured an outright win from R.V., which failed in two innings to reach Harbour Board's first innings total. Kerr was responsible for Green Lane's win against lnvicta. The veteran was at times unplayable, and he took six wickets for 32 runs. Innes, 32, was a feature of Ponsonby's batting against Mount Albert. The latter looked certain to get an outright win, but the pair played dogged cricket. AN INNINGS VICTORY. HARBOUR BOARD TOO STRONG. Harbour Board's bowlers proved superior to R.V., and the former won easily. R.V. carried the score from 110 for eight wickets to 147.
