EIGHTEENPENCE AN ACREAn Otago farm of 139 acres, in tho Clutha district, which was recently by order of the mortgagee at the remarkably low figure of £lO for the lot, or about Is 6d an acre, was not so many, years ago sold at £2 10s an acre. Although now somewhat overgrown in places > with scrub, at one time first-class gra ll * crops were grown on this farm, some of the paddocks returning as much as 60 bushels of oats to the acre. There is a good house on the property, built Of totara, and in good preservation.
