TAKAPUNA SCHOOL.

ANNUAL SPORTS DAY. Folk dan cine, drill to the music of a 1 G Id gramophone, country dancing and neia sports by the children of the Takapuna / primary school furnished enjoyable entertainment for parents of the pupils and past scholars who thronged the school grounds on Saturday afternoon for the annual sports day of the school. The school was thrown open for inspection by the visitors. The prize awards were distributed by Mr. T. Hanna, chairman of the school committee, and the secretary, the *7*' J. Hiddlestone. Miniature cups for tn». relay races were presented by Mrs. G. H* Matthews, wife of the headmaster.
