BEAUTIFYING HAMILTON.
SUCCESSFUL FAIR HELD. [FROM OrR OWN CORRESPONDENT."] HAMILTON. Sunday. A successful two days' fair to augment the funds of tho Hamilton beautifying Society and held 011 Ferry Bank, was concluded last evening. Numerous attractions weio provided, and a large variety of goods was offered for sale at the many stalls. Excellent business was done. The Hamilton Municipal and Regimental Band gave a piogramme of music yesterday afternoon. The organising work was carried out by the chairman of the society, Mr. W. 11. l'aul, and Mesdames IT. C. Boss and 11. D. Cobb, the joint secretaries. They were assisted by a large hand of helpers. Although the amount collected was not as great as at previous fairs held by the society, the returns were exceedingly satisfactory.
