HOUSEBREAKING CHARGE. " There are at least half-a-dozen other charges pending against accused," said Detective-Sergeant Kelly in the Polico Court 011 Saturday morning when a Maori, Stewart Manuel, labourer, was charged with breaking and entering (lie house of Fannie Bendall, at Glen Eden, and stealing a wristlet watch, an electric comb and cuff links, valued at £5 15s. Charged with absenting himself without leave from the steamer Huntingdon, William Williams, fireman, aged 38, was remanded for a week on the condition that lie should be placed on the ship under an escort.
