Cimabuo, who pulled up with a joint after his win in the Palmerston North Stakes, is still out in the paddock. It will not be known for a few days yet whether he will stand another preparation, but it is doubtful. On the other hand, Lady Rone, who was thought to have finished her career when she pulled up lame at Tauhorenikau last Saturday, is sound again and was working to-day. Woatherstep, who wns able to run only once during tho holidays and then developed an ailment, is all right again. Ephialtea waa vory sick and sorry nfter his race in the Manawatu Cup, in which he fell, but he also is improving.
