SHIELD FOR BURGLARIES. " Framed-up " street fights to decoy constables from their beats is a new aspect of gang activities in Glasgow. Quito a number of cases of burglary, house-breaking, and similar crimes, have been identified as synchronising with street disturbances which, collecting large crowds and causing a concentration of polico on tho area, havo proved to be merely " put up " jobs. . While tho row is on, tho accomplices o? tho snpposed combatants are busy rifling some shop till in tho neighbourhood, or ransacking a homo which has been vacated by its occupants bent on " seeing the fun outside.
