WHEAT QUOTA SYSTEM.
LIVERPOOL OPPOSITION. HANDICAP TO FREEDOM. LONDON. Dec. 29. The Liverpool Chamber of Commerce lias passed a resolution opposing tho Empire wheat quota system on the ground that it would seriously interfere with freedom of marketing and free selection of the world's wheals for British milling. One authority contends that the quota would result in dearer bread. Uncertainty regarding (ho Dominions' quota is seriously affecting the trade in buying for the future. Millers are experiencing Iho smallest trade for 40 years.
