POLICE COURT NEWS.
MOTOR-CYCLE TAKEN. YOUTH ADMITS OFFENCE. A plea of guilty was entered by Stanley Hutchinson, aged 17, farm hand, when charged in the Police Court yesterday with unlawfully converting to his; own use a motor-cycle, valued at £BO, the property of Rupert Henry Meredith. Detective-Sergeant Kelly said that on the evening of December 26 accused attended a sports meeting at the Western Springs Speedway, and in order to return to his home at Buckland's Beach that night he " borrowed" another person's motor-cycle. The magistrate, Mr. E. C. Cutten, convicted accused and ordered him to come up for sentence if called upon within six months.. A Chinese laundryman, Jlong Fong, aged 40, was charged with breaking and entering, on Sunday last, the pawnbroker's shop of Florence Kissin, yueen Street, and stealing four gold coins, valued at £6. On the application of the pokce accused was remanded for a week, bail of £IOO being allowed.
