ANGLERS AT WHANGAROA. [r.V TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGAROA, Monday. Fishing from the launch Manaaki Mr. Otto Sommer, of Leipsig, and Mr. J, L. Blackmoro, of Auckland, have experienced good sport with big fish at Whangaroa during the week-end. Mr. Sommer secured a splendid mako shark weighing 4151b. after a good contest lasting I|hours. Mr. Blackmore also landed a mako. In addition, they had an exciting run with a swordfish. Mr. 11. B. Watson, of Walton, on the launch Ethel, landed a . mako weighing 4381b. within a mile of the harbour mouth. It was a fine fish, intensely lively and breached several times. A mako weighing 1631b. was also caught.
