CAR STRUCK BY TRAIN.
MOTORIST'S LUCKY ESCAPE. [I'ROM OCR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WAIHI, Saturday. A collision between the TaneatuaAuckland express and a motor-car driven by Mr. J. Callaghan, junr., occurred at tho Silverton Road level crossing to-day, but tho motorist fortunately escaped iujury, although the car was wrecked. lhe engine struck tho car and dragged il for some distance before the car overturned in a drain.' Mr. Callaghan was able to open a door and crawl out.
