THE PANAMA CANAL.

CONSTRUCTION DESCRIBED. The instructive lectures on travel delivered each Sunday by Mr. E. Headlam Greenhow continue to attract large audiences. Last evening, when Mr. Greenhow spoke on '-'The Isthmus of Panama and Its Canal," the Plaza Theatre was well filled. A feature of tho lecture was the presentation of a unique collection of photographic slides, many being artistically coloured. ' Mr. Greenhow gave a graphic description of the huge undertaking and he also dealt with the history and colonisation of Panama. Next- Sunday evening he will locture on "Paris." This address will also be illustrated by specially-prepared slides.
