ABUSE OF THE DOLE.
NEW SOUTH WALES CASES. EFFORTS AT PREVENTION. SYDNEY, Oct. 1. The New South Wales Government is making every effort to prevent dole impositions. In the eastern suburbs alono more than 700 people were struck off the list last week. Six women inspectors have been appointed by the Department of Labour and Industry. In one case of abuse a man collected tickets under seven names, in each rase drawing an allowance for a. wife and a large family. The police caught him selling goods bought with dole coupons. lie told them he was unlucky to be caught, as ho coubi point out 60 men in the dole queues who were doing the same.
