WEEK-END ATTRACTIONS.
// MANY SPORTS FIXTURES. REPRESENTATIVE RUGBY MATCH. Important fixtures in all branches of Sport will be decided this afternoon. The principal attraction will no doubt be ihe representative Rugby football match between Auckland and Wellington at Eden Park, commencing at 3 p.m. The Pollard Cup final between Manukau and / 3'echnical Old Boys will be played as a (Curtain-raiser. In the League code, the most important match is the Roope Rooster final between Devonport and Ponsonby, which will be played at Carlaw Park, commencing 8t 3.15 p.m. As a curtain-raiser the knock-out final of the reserve grade between Richmond and Newton .will be played. A representative Association football game between Auckland end the Navy will be decided at Blandford Park, commencing at 3 p.m. A senior cup semi-final game between jY.M.C.A. and Tramurewa will also be played. ; Matches between men's hockey teams competing for the Devonport Shield snd ladies' senior grade teams will take place. Senior basketball teams will compete in a knock-out tourney and cycle race 3 \yill be held by the Manukau and [Auckland Clubs. Point-to-point races will be held by the Pakuranga Hunt Club at Flat Bush. Golf plubs in Auckland and the suburbs have arranged matches for the week-end and championship series will be advanced a further stage. Picture theatres in the city and suburbs •re offering excellent entertainment, while dancing /will bo held at the various cabarets this evening.
