CORRUPT POLICEMAN.
TAX PAYMENTS EVADED. LARGE INCOME FROM LIQUOR. NEW YORK, Sept. 17. James Quinlivan, a "Vice Squad" policeman, has been sentenced 'to three years' imprisonment for defrauding the Government, of income-tax payments on his earnings, totalling £IO.OOO. He is known as the " Ace of Vice and Graft." Quinlivan owned a " Speakeasy (slygrog shop) which he kept stocked entirely with liquor seized in prohibition raids.
