FRUIT SALAD SPONGE.
(Kindly sent in by a reader.) Two tablespoonfuls butter, halt' cupful sugar, one egg, one cupful flour, one and a-haif teaspoon fids baking powder, pinch salt. Lastly add one small cupful fresh fruit consisting of half a grated apple, two passion fruit, little lemon and orange, and chopped rind. Steam two hours.
