A SIMPLE CONJURING TRICK.
Borrow a hat, info which you have four or five pennies thrown. Hold the hat ' n front, of you and shake up the pennies. Then ask one of the company to choose » penny a 4 nd pass it round, so that those examining it may notice if the slightest mark he upon it, which will enable th«m to know it again; or say that one of the company shall place a mark upon it if desired. • The penny, having been well examined, is thrown back into the hat. which the performer now holds behind him. For htf should not see any of the pennies. The hat and the pennies sre again veil shaken, and the conjurer pots his hand behind him, and to the surprise of all picks out' the penny that has been chosen by the audience. The trick is explained by the simple fact that the penny, having been passed from hand to hand, whilst being examine , has become warm, and the others, 0 course, arc quite cold.
