An address dealing with the benefit of milk to children and the importance of cleanliness with milk was given by Dr. Garfield Stuart at a meeting of the Belrnout-Bayswater League of Mothers, held in St. Michael's Hall on Thursday. The president,, Mrs. J. Schulz, presided. A pianofotte solo and a song by Mrs. Young and a recitation by Mrs. Spiers were greatly appreciated. Prizes for the Mothers' Exhibition Daywere awarded by the president as follows Knitted article, Mrs Eckersly, 1; Mrs. N. . Cahill. 2; hand worked article. Mrs. Marks, 1; Miss G. Cutler, 2; handworked article. Mrs. C. Robinson, 1; Mrs. Marks 2 Children's section (bestdressed doll), Delrna Schulz, 1: Jean Brady, 2; hand-work. Thelma Bramley, 1; drawing, A. Bramley, 1; E. Barnes, 2; hand-sewn article, Zona Hay; stencilling, Delma Schulz; woodwork, Don Mageo; (lowers, Mrs. Phillips; sweets. Mrs. Trenwith; buttonhole, B. Eckerslv, 1; Ettie Christensen, 2; cooking, (sponge), Mrs. Oglivy, 1 and 2; scones, Mrs. Doiill, 1; Mrs. Schulz, 2; mixed cakes, Mrs. Schulz, 1 and 2. EPSOM. The monthly meeting of the Epsom branch of the League of Mothers was held in tho Baptist schoolroom, Manukuu Road, on Thursday afternoon, Mrs. Wilson presiding. An address on "Tho Nervous Child" was given by Mrs. Boswell, and a song by Mrs. Killip was very much appreciated. Afternoon tea was served by Mrs. Beavis, Mrs. Driver, Mrs. Goodfellow and Mrs. Slade. MOUNT ALBERT. "The Present-day Outlook" was the subject of an address given by Mr. W. ,J. Iloldsworth at the monthly meeting of the Mount Albert branch of the League of Mothers. Mrs> Turner, senr., presided. Songs by Mrs. Bell and Mrs. Diummotid added to the, pleasure of the afternoon.
