GIRL GUIDE CONCERT.

NEW LYNN COMPANY. A very pleasant evening was spent by relatives and friends of the New Lynn Girl Guides at St. Andrew's Hall on Thursday, when an excellent concert programme was presented by the Guides and various helpers. There were two pretty folk dances by eight Guides, songs, "Over the Sea to Skye," "Cradle Song," "Marching on the King's Highway," and "Ten Little Guides," by members of the New Lynn company, a recitation by Miss Helen. Rankin, songs by Mrs. Parry, a reading by Miss B. Gardner, violin solo by Master R. Graves, cornet solo by Master G. Parry, and recitations by Miss M. Cox. The second half of the programme consisted of a play, entitled "The New Order." in which King Arthur and his knights hand on their mission to the new order, represented by the Girl Guides. The part of King Arthur was taken by Miss M. Cox, and the knights were Misses D. Guy, M. Graham, 0. lotley, K. Gardner, A. Walker, A. Archibald, L. Gardner, J. Graham, V. Lindgard, and G. Blackman. Miss B. Graham appeared as the damsel in distress, and the Guides were the captain, Mrs. E. A. Arroll, and Guides E. Rankin, R. Retts. E. Rowlands, J. Tyler and M. McClymont.
