WEDDING.

MABBATT—SCOTT SHAW. The marriage of Miss Constance Theodora Scott Shaw, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Shaw, of Manurewa, to Chief Petty Officer Francis George Mabbatt, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Mabbatt, of Exeter, Devonshire, England, was celebrated at St. Matthew's Church on Wednesday. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. F. B. Dobson, assisted by the Rev. G. T. Robson, naval chaplain. Tho bride, who was given away by her father, woro a frock of ivory satin with a spray of llowers embroidered in white and silver ou tho corsage, and a full skirt falling in graceful folds to the ankles. Her veil of hand-embroidered Brussels net, which formed a train, was arranged on the head with a coronet of pearls and orange blossom, and she carried a shower bouquet of delicately-shaded yellow narcissus. Miss Rita Chapman attended as bridesmaid. and woro a frock of sea-green tucked Broderic Anglais and net. Her felt hat toned with her frock, and she carried a bouquet of daffodils. Mr. J. Shaw attended as best man. On leaving tho church a guard of honour was formed for tho bridal couple by some of tho naval men. A reception was afterwards held in the Majestic Theatre Lounge, Mrs. Scott Shaw receiving in a frock of Old Nottingham lacc with a coatee of primrose panne velvet, and a hat to match. She carried a bouquet of Iceland poppies shaded from primrose to deep orange. Among the guests were:—The Hon. Mrs. Lionel Walton, Miss Daphne Walton, Captain Vcsey Chalmers, Rev. and Mrs. G. T. Hand, junr., Mrs. Hutchinson, Dr. and Mrs. Allen (London), Miss 0. Dobson, Miss N. Macdonald, Miss J. Barnard, Miss R. Stebbing, Mrs. Kimber, Mrs. Fordham, Miss J. Watson, Miss B. Lowe, Miss L. Wilson, Miss B. Gillies and Miss J. Barber.
