ADVANCES FOR AUGUST. COMPANIES IN NORTH. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGAREI, Friday. For butter-fat supplied in August the Whangarei Co-operative Dairy Company will make an advance payment of lOd per lb. for standard and for super-... fine, the total pay-out being £6161. For'' the corresponding month last year payment was at the rate of lid for standard and ll£d for superfine and totalled £6061. The Waipu Co-operative Dairy. .Com* pany is making an advance payment, of lljsd per lb. butter-fat for first grade and 10£ d for second grade, compared with Is and lid respectively for the August supply last year. Production is nine tons ahead of last year. The Maungatapere Dairy Company is paying out lid per lb. butter-fat for superfine and 10£ d for first grade. As far as the Whangarei district is concerned the spring is backward, especially on the heavy lands. In August an early spring appeared certain, but the prevalence of cold winds has checked, the growth during this month. THE RAGLAN-COMPANY. THIS MONTH'S PAY-OUT. The Raglan Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, is paving out lTJ>d per lb. for finest butter-fat supplied during August. OPERATIONS AT TE AWAMUTU. ; OUTPUT AND PAYMENT. . Shareholders will be credited . with an additional £d per lb. As the com- -- pany has just completed its fifth year a considerable number of shareholders have " now fully-paid shares and the share credit* .' of id per lb. will therefore be distributed to them as a special cash payment at the end of the season, together with a dividend of 6 per cent, on all paid-up capital. ; To the end of August the company's output of butter shows an increase of 15 ' per cent, compared with the same period of last year. TE AROHA-THAMES VALLEY. INCREASE IN SUPPLY. Tlie Te Aroha-Thames Valley Co-opera-tive Dairy Company, Limited, this week paid a final bonus on last season's supply at the rate of a jd per lb. butter-fat ou September, October, November, Decern, ber, January, February and May, and Id on March and April, thus bringing the final average payment to shareholders up to 12 3-8 d per lb. ' Payment was also made for the August cream supply at the rate of 12jd per lb. butter-fat. The company advises that it is showing an increase in output of 30 per cent, for the two months July and August, as compared with the same two months last year. This increase is plainly due to a number of new suppliers joining the company.
