THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE. GOVERNMENT LOANS WEAK. Increased dealing in Government securities took place on an easier market on the Auckland Slock Exchange yesterday. Two parcels of 1937 5£ per cent. Bonds were sold 10s lower at £95 10s, which price was forthcoming for more. Inscribed Stock of the same denomination was secured at £95 15s and £95 10s, and at the latter figure was £4 cheaper than the level of the last sale in Auckland on August 25. A fall of £4 10s since the last local sale on August .10 was registered in 1938 4£ per cent. War Bonds, which were done at £95 10s. The tone of the bank section was unaltered. Commercials of Australia were slightly easier with a deal lato on Wednesday at 13s 6d and a further transaction yesterday at 13s sd, with more available at the same price. Holders of Australian of Commerce lowered their limits Is 3d to 14s 9d without securing any advanco from buyers, who steadily offered 13s. Nationals of New Zealand eased 2s in a sale at £3 Bs. New Zealands changed hands twice at the unchanged level of 44s 3d, at which price further supplies were quoted. Unions were sought 13 6d easier at £6 Bs. Holders did not- quote. The market was stronger for New Zealand Insurance, business being recorded at 37s 9d, an advance of 9cl.

Further dealing took place in Westport Coals, which were done twice at the previous day's price of 23s 6d. Auckland Gas firmed a penny in a deal at 23s Id. A like improvement was registered by the contributing issue, which had sale at 17s. Unchanged levels were realised by New Zealand Breweries at 28s lOd. Farmers Tradings were done 2d better at 5s 10d. A fall -of Is 3d occurred in Milne and Choyce debenture stock, which was released at 17s 9d. Business in mining was confined to a single transaction in King Solomons od easier at 2s 4d. .
