MEMORIAL TO HEROES.
LOSSIEMOUTH GiOLF COURSE.
FORMER CADDIES HONOURED.
LONDON. August 126. "In boyhood they caddied on Moray links," is the inscription on a sua-dial unveiled on tho homo green of tho Moray golf course at Lossiemouth in memory of Sergeant A. Edwards, V.C., and his cousin, Captain G. Edwards, D.S.O. Both soldiers killed in actiou with the 6th Seaforth Highlanders.
Sergeant Edwards won the V.C. irt 1917 when he located and captured a machine guu and killed its crew. Later, although he was wounded in oiie arm, he stalked and killed a sniper.
Then, the officers being killed, Edwards led the men on and captured the objective, and, although he was twice wounded, on the following day he consolidated the position.
