MANY DEATHS IN BALUCHISTAN

DELHI. Sept. 2. There was another .earthquake shock in the north-west of India to-day.

it is now learned that the terrific earthquake at the week-end was responsible fo:t' 80 deaths in Kachhi, near Khelat, Bi luchislan, and that a town named Dhadar was destroyed. A high death roll is feared.

The following message has been £ent by the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, to the Vicsroy of India in connection with tins earthquake disaster in that country:— The Government and people of New Zealand join with me in expressing profound sympathy with the inhabitants of tlia earthquake-stricken area who have suffered bereavement, personal injury and heavy material loss in the recent terrible disaster. We remember with gratitude tli b x sympathy extended to us by the prople of India in our own similar affliction in February last."
