STEADY INCREASE IN JULY.

GRAND TOTAL EXCEEDS 61,000.

The number of receiving licences in New Zealand at July 31 was 60,125, an increase of approximately 3000 compared with tho total at June 30. The number at March 31, the end of the last radio year, was 62,000. Including dealers', transmitters' and special licences, the grand total at July_3l was 61,576, as against 58,793 at June' 30.
