DECREASED ACTIVITY.
[from our own correspondent.] HAMILTON, Wednesday.
The value of the seven building permits issued by the Hamilton Borough Council last month was £309, as compared with 20, valued at £5717, for August of last year. The lessened activity of building construction in the borough this year is reflected in the returns to date. During the past eight months permits for the erection of 112 buildings valued at £19,099 have been issued, as against 171 permits of a total value of £45,307 for the corresponding period of last year.
