PHILISTINES' CLUB.

An excellent programme was provided at tho Philistines' Club on Saturday evening. Tho main part included three short sketches, which were much appreciated for their satirical humour. Short items were given bv Sir. A. G. Fogarty, Sliss Hope Asser and Sir. Peter Dawson. The three plays were entitled ".lie Dines Alone," "Dearest Friends" and "'lhe Old Lady Shows Her Sluddles," and the parts were taken by Sliss SI. Wallbank, Miss Nance Redstone, Sir. Hugh Woods, Sir. Ronald Bowie, Sir. J. W. Bailey, Sir. A. Lister. Sirs. Culford Bell and Mrs. J. W. Bailey.
